In order to bring Shinra and the others back, and to prevent the Great Cataclysm, Special Fire Force Company 8 marches on Amaterasu. As Ogun and the others hold the White Clad at bay, Vulcan’s team begins investigating inside Amaterasu. Using a map that Joker gave them, they reach the core area. They even successfully unlock the doors to the area, but in that moment, Dr. Giovanni appears.
